Why I built PDFTURA

I got tired of the same experience every time I needed to do something simple with a PDF: search the web, land on a tool that looks helpful, upload my file, and then hit a wall. A watermark on the result. A "you've used your free conversion for today" message. A sign-up form standing between me and a two-second task. A file quietly uploaded to a server I know nothing about. So I built the site I actually wanted to use — one place where the tools are fast, free, and respect the fact that your documents are your business, not mine.

What we do

PDFTURA brings together dozens of tools for working with documents, images, text, and the small everyday tasks that don't deserve their own app. You can merge, split, compress, rotate, and convert PDFs; shrink and reformat images; generate QR codes and passwords; format and clean up text and code; and run AI on your writing to summarize, translate, rewrite, or fix grammar. Everything lives under one roof, with a consistent, clutter-free interface, and every tool is one click away from the home page.

Privacy is the default, not a feature

Most of our tools run entirely inside your browser. That means your file is opened, processed, and saved on your own device — it never travels to a server, because it doesn't need to. For the small number of tools that genuinely require server processing, your file is sent over an encrypted connection, handled in an isolated temporary location, and deleted automatically within the hour. We don't keep the contents of your files, and we never sell your data to anyone. You can read the specifics on our Privacy Policy and Security pages.

Free, and staying that way

Every tool is free to use, with no task limits, no daily caps, and no paywall hiding the useful features behind a subscription. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, not by charging you or trading your data. An optional free account adds conveniences — like a saved history and higher limits on the AI tools — but creating one is never required to use a tool. If a feature is here, you can use it.

How it's made

The site is built to be lightweight and quick. Pages load fast, the tools do their work without unnecessary steps, and the whole thing is designed to work just as well on a phone as on a desktop. It's a genuinely independent project — not backed by a big company — and it's shaped directly by the feedback people send in. When something's broken or missing, I hear about it and fix it.
